What could possibly be cuter than a giraffe on a quilt?
Four Giraffes in a Row!
I shared the Giraffes in a Row pattern debut at the Let's Bee Social last week. And although I would LOVE to make every version that the pattern provides instructions for.....
This is the one I REALLY want to make!!!!
Giraffes are not new around here at Sew Fresh Quilts. I made some side view giraffe in this Giraffe Love quilt. And then I made some more with this first Giraffe Family quilt and this second Giraffe Family quilt. And of course, there was the recent Jungle Baby quilt here.
Peek-a-boo!!!

My colour choices for this line up was highly influenced by the backing fabric I found lingering in my stash since May of 2015. I purchased these two pieces from the Giraffe Crossing collection by R&B Design Team for Riley Blake Designs, with 2 yards of the Giraffe Main in cream and 1 yard of Tic Tac Red, from Canadian National Fabric.
The Tic Tac Red makes for the perfect binding!
The quilting was performed using my walking foot to create organic wavy lines with white thread both on top and in the bobbin.
The "Giraffes in a Row" quilt finished at 39.5" x 39.5"
and was the 42nd use of my 2nd edition of 100 labels
ordered from Ikaprint.
It's my second stash addition for the year!!!
A stack of Kona Cottons for the Giraffes: Violet, Magenta, Cyan, Teal, Lime, Avocado, Canary, Papaya, School Bus, Flame, Deep Rose and Lipstick.
For the Background, my first ever yarn-dyed: Essex Yarn-Dyed in Charcoal
For the Backing: Widescreen Crosshatch in Black
For the Binding: Kona Charcoal

If 4 Giraffes in a Row are cuter.... Then 6 must be the ultimate in cuteness!
Now I want to make a rainbow of Giraffes in a Row!
The Giraffes in a Row pattern comes in two sizes.
You can make 4 giraffes that finish about 40" square or 6 giraffes that finish about 57" square.
You can find the Giraffes in a Row pdf pattern here in my shop.
